Monday

Normal breakfast today - coffee with creamer & Splenda & a Special K bar. 3 points

For lunch I had a Healthy Choice meal - Herb Crusted fish with pasta & veggies (7 points), some carrots while I waited for it to cook, and Coke Zero to drink. 7 points for lunch. Unfortunately, my lunch was very unsatisfying. :( I didn't care much for the meal I chose. I tried to make up for it with a pear, but it wasn't quite ripe enough. I finally had to treat myself to 6 Milk Duds just to make things right again. 2 points

Ugh! I had a long day at work and didn't have time to cook a real dinner tonight like I wanted to. The need for convenience, stress, and extreme hunger caused me to lose control. I had 3 pieces of pizza (15 points) and 2 pieces of bacon (while pizza was cooking) for dinner. 17 pointsfor dinner.

I then had 18 spicy pork skins. (4 points). That put me 4 over for the day. :(. Still not bad considering I wanted to eat much more than I did.

Sunday

I slept late today so when I got up I went straight for lunch instead of breakfast. I had a Sesame chicken meal from Lean Cuisine. It was only okay. I then had a banana for dessert. 7 points for lunch.





For a snack this afternoon I had 18 hot n spicy pork skins. SO good! 4 points

Dinner tonight was a Healthy Choice Italian Sausage Pasta Bake (7 points) and a slice of Flax & Fiber bread (2 points) with 1T whipped butter (2 points). Dessert was a delicious pear. 11 points for dinner

This is the first weekend I've stayed on points in probably a year. I'm very proud of myself. :) Now I can start this work week without the burden of having to lose back what I gained over the weekend.





For a snack this evening I had 28 Special K sweet & salty popcorn chips (3 points) & then later 6 Milk Duds (2 points). 5 points

I was left with 2 points for the day.

First Saturday back on plan

I missed you yesterday. I stayed on plan, but just didn't have time to blog. I ate at Cracker Barrel AND McDonald's but still did NOT go over points. Really...I didn't.
27 points for the day.

I had to work this morning, so my morning was the same as always - coffe with 2 T creamer and a chocolatey pretzel Special K bar. 3points total.

I went shopping after work today and replenished all of my healthy lunch choices and am quite excited about it. For lunch today I had a meal I've never tried before - Lean Cuisine Tortilla Crusted Fish with Mexican rice and it was pretty tasty. 8 points I had a pear for dessert (FREE) and Coke Zero to drink.

Dinner was yummy. I had steak (I counted 7 points, as I had a little more than what is shown on my plate), Betty Crocker Loaded potato casserole (4 points for 2/3 cup), and 1/3 cup of kernel corn (1 point). 12 points for dinner.

For my dessert tonight I plan to have something I haven't tried before. It's a Skinny Cow Mmmmmmmmocha Truffle ice cream bar and is only 3 points. That left me with 3 points leftover for the day. :)

1-3-13

Breakfast this morning was a string of Sagento reduced fat Colby-Jack cheese (2 points) and an apple (free). I also had water and a cup of coffe with 2 T fat free French Vanilla creamer (1 point). Breakfast = 3 points

Lunch was the same Lean Cuisine meal as yesterday, Fettucini Alfredo w/Chicken & broccoli (6 points), along with a slice of Arnold Healthfull Flax & Fiber bread (2 points) with 1 T of Land O Lakes whipped butter (2 points). I love bread and this is more than I would have liked to spend on a side of bread, but it was SO yummy! Lunch = 10 points


I had a string of WW smoked mozzarella cheese for a snack this afternoon. 1 point

I went to the Y after work today and did 22 minutes on the elliptical. Woohoo! :)

Before dinner I snacked on raw cauliflower. Yum. Dinner was 4 oz of chicken breast (4 points), green beans (free), and 2 slices of the same bread I had for lunch (4 points) with 1 T of butter (2 points). Dinner = 10 points





Total for the day: 24 points

1-2-13

I opted for coffee this morning instead of my lemon/ginger water. I'll have the detox tonight I think. My Kahlua coffee with Splenda and 2 T of fat free creamer is 1 point. I paired it with a 2 point Special K bar. Breakfast = 3 points.

I had a morning snack of an apple and a WW smoked mozzerella cheese stick (1 point). I didn't know WW had string cheese and it was pretty doggone good. I also bought some low-fat Sargento Colby-Jack just in case the WW didn't work out, but the Sargento is 2 points, so I'm glad I like the WW one. Snack = 1 point.
Today's lunch was a Lean Cuisine Fettucini alfredo with chicken & broccoli at 6 points. Deliciousness! I had a Coke Zero to drink. Being back on plan is actually comforting for me...so far.

For dinner I had a 4 oz boneless pork chop sautéed in a dash of olive oil (4 points), 1/2 cup of white rice with no butter (3 points), and 1/3 cup of kernel corn with no butter (1 point). I snacked on raw cauliflower while making dinner (free). I love raw cauliflower. Dinner = 8 points



For a snack this evening I had 25 Pepperidge Farm Baked Naturals cheddar & sour cream potato cracker chips. 3 points

I had a cup of hot lemon/ginger water tonight also, only this time I added some cinnamon. I like that addition.

21 total points for the day.

January 1, 2013 - a new beginning

January 1, 2013. Starting over. I got down to a 60 pound loss, but since then have gained back 23 pounds. I MUST do better. When I think back to when I was "in the zone" one thing that I did religiously was blog. I wrote down everything I ate and most of the time posted a picture of it also. So, I'm going to try to start doing that again and see if it works. I want to AT LEAST get back to where I was and hopefully stay there.

So today is the day.I started my morning with a lemon/ginger detox. It's a cup of hot water, 2 slices of lemon, and about 1/2 inch to an inch of grated ginger. Today I added a tablespoon of honey to it, but I won't be doing that again after calculating the honey and realizing it was 2 points.

Lunch was a Smart Ones spaghetti with Coke Zero to drink. 7 points I have to replenish my supply of frozen meals.





This afternoon I had an apple for a snack. I really do love apples. I also had an orange a little later in the afternoon. I think getting out of the snack habit is going to be difficult.

I took a late nap this afternoon and only got up because I had some chores that had to be done. I would rather have just slept through dinner time so I wouldn't eat. Even after getting up, I really didn't feel very hungry so I didn't eat dinner tonight. I know that's not good, but I did it anyway. I did have another cup of lemon/ginger water. I peed a lot today so I think it's working. I hope so because it not something I'd drink by choice.

50 Pounds Down!!!

I know I haven't written in a while and I apologize for that. Towards the end of the summer I was not eating at my best, then I got a job and just got BUSY! But today I have to write. I hit the coveted 50 POUNDS DOWN mark!! I am so excited about this milestone, as it seemed to take forever to get from 40 to 50 pounds (because of aforementioned bad eating). It took a full 9 months, but I hit 50 pounds today. I really don't care how long it takes me to lose this weight. I am just transfixed by the transformation. Look at this picture. Day 1 and Day 272: I literally looked swollen. I can't believe it. I am in a size 10 pants now (18 then) and a size medium shirt (at least an XL then). I NEVER thought I'd wear these sizes again. I never wanted to be on a diet. I was happy being fat. But I didn't know what happy was, did I? My new mantra is, "Nothing tastes as good as being skinny feels." And it is so true! (I got that either from the weight watcher's facebook page or Hungry Girl.) I'm not stopping here though. My initial goal was 65pounds, but we'll just see how I feel when I get there. I may strive for more. 50 pounds. I can't believe it. I'm just so excited!
