KFC

I was hungry this morning so I had the Smart Ones version of the Egg McMuffin for 6 points.

Lunch was the Smart Ones Beef Stew for only 4 points. Then I had a bite of Godiva dark chocolate for dessert. 1 point

I broke down and had KFC for dinner. I wasn't in the greatest of moods and didn't feel like cooking dinner. I had 18 points left for the day and I used every one of them. I had a breast (original recipe- 10 points), a biscuit (5 pts), green beans (free), and mashed potatoes w/gravy (3 points). 18 points.

PB & Chocolate!

I had a Special K cereal bar for breakfast this morning with 1/2 cup of milk. So good! 4 points

Lunch was a Smart Ones Beef Stew meal. 4 points and quite tasty.

For dinner we had Breaded and baked boneless chicken breasts (6 points), broccoli, Loaded instant mashed potatoes (3 points), and 2 pieces of french bread with ICBINB (3 points). 12 points for dinner.

I had dessert tonight and it was scrumptious! Chocolate ice cream with 1/2 T of creamy peanut butter mixed in. Yummm!!! 4 points

And here is a vintage commercial that started the pb & chocolate yumminess.

Logan's

I was a hungry girl this morning, so I opted for a hot breakfast. 1 fried egg and 2 slices of french bread with ICBINB. 5 points

Lunch was a Smart Ones that I didn't like very much. It was Thai Style Chicken and Rice Noodles. 7 points

We went to Logan's for dinner. I had the Mesquite Grilled Chicken (4 points) with part of a side salad (3 points), broccoli (free), and a roll with butter (7 points). I brought my own Coke Zero. :)

Let Them Eat Cake! ... again :)

No breakfast today, but I had a Smart Ones Chicken Parmesan meal for lunch for 7 points.

Dinner was pork chops (4 points), Chicken & Broccoli flavored rice (3 points), frozen spring vegetables, sauteed mushrooms, and 2 pieces of french bread with ICBINB (3 points). 10 points for dinner.

And the grand finale...dessert. There is still birthday cake and apparently if there is cake in the house I can NOT ressit it. I love cake. :) So I had a piece for dessert. Yesterday I had a small piece and counted it as 4 points. Tonight's piece was slightly larger. I cut the cake into twelfths, since that is how it's portioned in the WW book. 1/12 of an iced cake is 14 points. I ate half of that 1/12th that I cut, so I'll count 7 points. Still way too much.

Saturday Badness and Sunday recovery

My oldest son had an archery tournament out of town on Saturday. It's also his birthday weekend, so that equals eating out. I had a cereal bar for breakfast, so I started out good. 2 points.

For lunch I played it safe and had the Southwestern Grilled Chicken salad from McDonald's. 11 points

At dinner all hell broke loose. I was starving and Chad picked Golden Corral. I had to make a decision: try to stay within points or eat what I want. I decided to eat what I wanted, within reason. Even "within reason" ended up being 23 points for dinner, but then I went NUTS and had not one, but TWO desserts. Ohhhhh, but it was worth it! Their bread pudding and chocolate chess pie are divine. (7 points and 10 points, respectively, by the way.) So, to detail my plate(s), I had a piece of Fried Chicken (thigh, 6 points), a piece of sirloin steak ( 6 points), some kernel corn (3 points), some steamed cauliflower (free), cheesy potatoes (5 points), and cornbread stuffing (3 points). Nothing really over the top, but still loaded with points.

On Sunday I slept late, so I had no breakfast. I had a Smart Ones Creamy Chicken Rigatoni with Broccoli for lunch (7 points). Then I had snack of Ritz crackers with cream cheese and strawberry jam (5 points).

We went to the movies this afternoon and I had a kid pack of popcorn and Coke Zero. The popcorn I figured at 3 points (3 cups is listed as 4 points in the WW book and I am pretty sure mine was closer to 2 cups).

It's Sunday and I'm declaring Sunday as Potroast Day from here on out! Everyone loves potroast! So, I had about 3-4 ounces of roast (6 points), 1/2 cup of white rice (3 points), and carrots (free). 9 points for dinner.

And, as his last celebration of the weekend, we had birthday cake for my son. I only had a small piece (about 2" square). 4 points I counted 4 points because the book puts a store bought, cream-filled cupcake at 5 points and this was way smaller than a cupcake. The book's listing for cake is outrageous and I refuse to believe what I ate is that many points. It's my calculator so I'll calculate it however I want to! LOL

Birthday Breakfast!

Today is my oldest son's birthday, so we let him choose whatever he wanted for breakfast. He chose pancakes, bacon, and chocolate chip muffins. I was smart enough to opt out of the pancakes, but I couldn't resist some bacon and a muffin. The muffin was 5 points and then the 1/2 cup of milk that I HAD to have with it was another 2 points. 2 slices of bacon was only 2 points, which I thought wasn't bad. 9 points for breakfast though...wowzers!

I had lunch out today, even after vowing to eat a 4 point Smart Ones meal. Oh well. I had lunch with my honey, so it was worth it. We ate at Tamarack, which is a WV gift shop tourist-y type place. Very good food! I had roasted pork loin (5 points), mashed potatoes (3 points), and sauteed green beans with mushrooms, which should be free, but I'm guessing they were sauteed in some type of oil, so I'll count 2 points for them. 10 points for lunch.

Dinner was a wonderful Lean Cuisine lasagne and 2 pieces of french bread with ICBINB (LIGHT...apparently the regular stuff is 2 points for 1T. Light is only 1). So 11 points for dinner.

Special K bar for breakfast. 2 points

For lunch I had a Lean Cuisine Shrimp Scampi. 6 points I'm finally going through all the meals I bought when I first started. Now I need to go shopping and only buy my favorites. The Scampi was good, but not a favorite.

Dinner was very good! Sorry I didn't get a picture for you, but I was ready to EAT! Tonight I mixed garlic powder and Greek seasoning in with Italian bread crumbs and then used that to bread my boneless skinless chicken breasts before baking at 425 for 30 minuts. I don't know why I've never used bread crumbs on my chicken before. It keeps it moist and is very tasty. And you can season it however you want. So I had a 4 oz chicken breast (6 points with the breading), 1/2 cup of chicken & broccoli flavored rice (4 points), 2 pieces of french bread with ICBINB (3 points) and a salad with bacon bits, croutons, & raspberry dressing (3 points). 16 points for dinner.

Snacks, snacks, and more snacks

I was hungry this morning, so I opted for a hot option instead of the cereal bar. I had a Smart Ones english muffin sandwich (exactly like an Egg McMuffin as far as I'm concerned). Very satisfying! 6 points

UGH! It was a bad day for eating. I didn't have lunch and by 3:00 all I wanted to do was snack. Then I didn't want to cook dinner, so it was just a disaster all the way around. I still ended up with 1 point left for the day, but I never had a real meal - just snacks here and there. I hope tomorrow is better.

Gotta love dessert

I had a Special K bar for breakfast. 2 points

Lunch was new today. I had a Smart Ones Homestyle Beef Stew and it was actually pretty good and only 4 points. I can deal with that.

Charles had a work dinner to attend tonight and I chose not to go to this one since the last one cost me a lot of points AND a lot of money. Instead, I had a Lean Cuisine lasagne (8 points), a salad with raspberry dressing, bacon bits, and croutons (3 points), and a roll with ICBINB (3 points). 14 points for dinner.

I decided to go ahead and have dessert tonight since I have 9 points left. You know I love the Breyer's Velvety Dark Chocolate ice cream with 1/2T of pb mixed in. Yummmmm. 4 points.

Big dinner

Breakfast was a Peaches and Berries special K bar this morning. Very tasty. 2 points

No lunch today.

For dinner we had BBQ chicken (9 points for a leg quarter), potato salad (I counted it as 6), corn on the cob (3 points), a roll with ICBINB (3 points), and 2 points for the extra BBQ sauce. 23 points for dinner. Yikes. But it was really GOOD!

Weigh Day!

Woo hoo! I'm down another 3.6 pounds this week for a total of 22.6! How exciting is that?!! Going over on my points every now and then seems to help rather than hurt. Interesting. ;)

I had a Special K bar for breakfast. 2 points

We were out all day, so we had McDonald's for lunch. I had the Grilled Chicken Southewestern salad with the southwestern dressing (11 points) and half an order of small fries. They're usually 6 points, but I counted 4. I also drank some sweet tea that I counted at 4 points. 19 points at lunch.

We were out all day and came home to pot roast ready in the crockpot. I whipped up some peas, carrots, and instant mashed potatoes and dinner was ready in 15 minutes and SO GOOD. pot roast - 5 points, peas - 1 point, carrots - free, mashed potatoes -3 points, and 2 pieces of french bread with ICBINB - 3 points. 12 points.

Garlic Chicken

Today for breakfast I had a raspberry cheesecake Special K bar. 2 points

I'm down 21 pounds as of today. I'm going to go back to Saturdays for official weigh-ins though since I will be in town for the next several weekends. I'm VERY excited about the 21 pounds, but I'm thinking tomorrow morning I can do better. Maybe not 22, but I'm shooting for 21.SOMETHING. :)

I missed lunch again today. Oh well.

Dinner was garlic chicken (8 points), instant loaded mashed potatoes (3 points), green beans (free), 1/3 cup of corn ( 1 points), and 2 pieces of french bread with ICBINB (3 points). The chicken was a recipe from allrecipes.com and was very easy and very good. You should try it! 15 points for dinner.

Dessert was 1/2 cup of Breyer's Velvety Dark Chocolate ice cream with 1/2 T of creamy peanut butter. 4 points of divine yumminess. :)

Let Them Eat Cake!

Breakfast was a Smart Ones English Muffin Sandwich with Canadian bacon again. So good! 6 points

Lunch was a Smart Ones Chicken Parmesan meal and it was pretty good. 7 points

This afternoon I had a piece of cake. I HAD to. It's St. Patrick's Day and the leprechaun left us a green cake. It would be rude not to try it. 8 points. Ouch! I really should have figured up those points BEFORE I ate it. It was good though. :)

I also had a coffee this afternoon - caramel vanilla cream. Yum. 2 points

Dinner was delish! 1 pork chop (3 points), roasted potatoes with ICBINB (4 points), sauteed zucchini, and 1 roll with ICBINB (3 points). 10 points for dinner.

Dessert is my favorite part of the day

Breakfast was good this morning. I tried the Smart Ones English Muffin Sandwich with Canadian bacon. It was very much like an Egg McMuffin. 6 points though, which is kind of high for me for breakfast.

For lunch I had a Smart Ones Chicken Santa Fe, which is only 3 points.

I cooked dinner for the first time in forever tonight. I had cream of mushroom chicken (4 points for the chicken and 2 for the sauce since I also put some over my rice), 1/2 cup white rice (3 points), broccoli, and 2 pieces of french bread with ICBINB (3 points). 12 points for dinner.

Dessert tonight was 1/2 cup of Breyer's Velvety Dark Chocolate ice cream with 1/2 T of peanut butter. 4 points and oh so delicious!

Competition is over

I tried the Peaches & Berries flavored Special K bar this morning and it was really good. 2 points.

Today was the final weigh-in day for the weight loss competition I was in and I'm pretty sure I came in 2nd place. I lost 20.4 pounds so far!!! I'm very excited about that. I hope to lose 3 times that much in total though, so even though the competition is over, I will continue on towards my goal.

For dinner tonight we ate at Logan's. I had the mesquite grilled chicken, broccoli, a salad, and 1 roll with butter. 15 points, plus I counted 2 points for the sweet tea I stole from Charles' glass. :) 17 points for dinner.

Back to it

I'm sorry I went another weekend without blogging. I was out of town again. I didn't eat as badly this weekend as I did when I was in Williamsburg last weekend, so that's good at least. I didn't eat GREAT, but at least I tried harder to be good. :) I weighed in on Friday, but I'm in a competition that ends tomorrow so I'm going to wait until then to give you a total. It's been going pretty good. Somehow, it seems that when I go over my weekly points I lose more than when I don't. I'm sure there's a fine line though. I just need to find out where that line is for me. I may start slacking off some on the weekends since that hasn't seemed to hurt me so far the few that I've done that.

I haven't had breakfast OR lunch today and I know I shouldn't do that. Sigh... I'm getting sick so I was in bed most of the day sleeping/watching tv. Now it's 3:00 and I have to figure out what to do for dinner. I'm going to go ahead and post this and then maybe do another one after dinner tonight.

Throwing it Into High Gear

Mmmmmmm Bacon, toast, & fresh cut pineapple lovingly cut up for me by my husband. The breakfast of champions. 4 points

After the weekend I had and the final weigh-in coming up in my competition, I have been working out a lot this week. I'm starting to see the scale smile upon that, so that's good. I've gone to the Y every day this week. I will do my official weekly weigh-in tomorrow instead of Saturday since I'll be out of town AGAIN this weekend, and then my final weigh-in for the competition on Tuesday. I'm in 3rd place right now and I think if I can keep it up I may be able to move into 2nd place, maybe even 1st, but that'll be pushing it. We'll see.

Lunch today was better than I thought it was going to be. I had a Lean Cuisine Cheddar Potatoes with Broccoli. 5 points

We had a going away dinner for someone Charles works with tonight, so it wasn't good for my points for the day. I had Chicken Frances, which was a breaded chicken cutlet with a lemon/butter sauce, but the sauce was on the side, so I only had a little of it. I counted 10 points for the chicken. I had a side of vegetables, a salad (2 points), and 2 rolls (6 points). 18 points for dinner. Sigh.

The perfect Dessert

I wanted a hot breakfast this morning, so I scrambled 1/2 cup of egg beaters (1 point) and paired it with 2 slices of french bread with ICBINB (3 points) for a 4 point breakfast.

I had a Lean Cuisine meal for lunch - grilled chicken and penne pasta. 8 points

I had a nice hot cup of coffee this afternoon - Spicy Mayan Chocolate with French Vanilla creamer & sugar - 2 points.

Dinner tonight was boneless skinless chicken breasts (4 oz = 4 points), chicken flavored rice (3 points), 1 roll with ICBINB (3 points), and peas (2 points). 12 points for dinner.

I had the PERFECT dessert tonight. I've been wanting pb & chocolate lately, but the only point friendly ice cream I had was the Weight Watchers brand and the only chocolate they have has brownie pieces in it and they were getting in my way. So today I bought Breyer's Smooth & Dreamy (1/3 less fat) Velvety Dark Chocolate ice cream and mixed in 1/2 T of creamy pb. YUMMO! 4 points

Tuesday, March 8, 2011

Busy evening

I had a Special K bar for breakfast. 2 points

For lunch I had Steak Tips Portobello with broccoli (Lean Cuisine). 4 points

We had Pinewood Derby this evening so we had to get dinner on the go. I had the Grilled Chicken Southwest Salad from McDonald's WITH the southwest dressing and it was VERY good. 11 points. I also had a small order of fries. 6 points. 17 points for dinner.

It's a new day!

It's been a while since I blogged. Sorry. I was out of town. I was going to try to stay on plan while I was out of town, but it just did NOT work out that way. Friday I did okay, Saturday a little worse and Sunday was just awful. I'm not even going to bother listing what I ate, but I topped lunch off yesterday with an ice cream sundae from Friendly's. That can't be good. But...today I'm back on track. I'm going to work extra hard this week becuase I am in 2nd place in the weight loss competition I entered and it ends on March 15. I am SO close to first place. I can do this. Okay, just for posterity's sake, I added up my points from the weekend. I used 55 points on Saturday (breakfast at the hotel, catered lunch, dinner at Cracker Barrel with 2 biscuits and 2 cornbread muffins. Those killed me!) and 60 points on Sunday (Special K bar for breakfast, lunch at Friendly's with fried shrimp and ice cream sundae, dinner at Wendy's). That puts me 8 points in the hole for my weekly extra points. That's okay though. It's a new day!!

For breakfast this morning I had an apple. Zero points

For lunch I had a Smart Ones meal that was only 3 points. I didn't intend to eat so few points for lunch, but that just happened to be the one I chose. It was called Chicken Santa Fe and wasn't too bad. I haven't been all that impressed with Smart Ones though. I tend to like Lean Cuisine better.

For dinner I had leftover pot roast and green beans from Thursday night. I also had 2 pieces of french bread with ICBINB. 9 points total. For dessert I had a Weight Watchers Chocolate Fudge Brownie ice cream cup with 1T of creamy peanut butter mixed in. 7 points.

Thursday, March 3, 2011

Back by popular demand

I had a Special K bar for breakfast. 2 points

For lunch I had a Lean Cuisine Chicken Poblano. 7 points

For dinner I decided to make my family happy and make another pot roast. They were VERY happy. :) I had 4 oz of roast (5 points), 1/2 cup instant loaded mashed potatoes (3 points), 2 rolls with ICBINB (5 points), green beans, and carrots. 13 points for dinner.

I had a Weight Watchers Fudge Brownie ice cream cup for dessert. 4 points

Miyabi's at home

I had a hot breakfast for a change this morning. I cooked 1/2 cup of EggBeaters with diced tomato mixed in (1 point), topped it with 3 pieces of ready cooked bacon (2 points), and ate it on a Nature's Own Whole Wheat sandwich round (2 points). 5 points for breakfast.

For lunch I had a Lean Cuisine lasagne. I love those things. 8 points

For dinner I went with an Asian flair tonight. I marinated chicken in a Sesame Ginger marinade and then stir fried it. I had probably 6 ounces, so 5 points, plus 2 points for the marinade. I also stir fried zucchini and onions in soy sauce, which is free. I had 1/2 cup of white rice, which is 3 points. So, 11 points for dinner. The picture only shows about 4 ounces of chicken. I got seconds. :)

I have 5 points left. What should I have for dessert tonight. I do have 1 Logan's Nutter Butter Fudgeslide left from last week, but it's not really calling my name. It really needs to be eaten though. Hmmm...

In the end I followed my heart and went with ice cream. :) Breyer's Smooth & Dreamy Coffee Fudge Brownie. 4 points for 1/2 cup.

Tuesday, March 1, 2011

Give me sugar!!

Breakfast was a Chocolatey Pretzel Special K cereal bar. 2 points

For lunch I had a Lean Cuisine Classic Macaroni and Beef meal. 6 points. I added 2 slices of french bread with ICBINB for an additional 3 points. 9 points for lunch.

We had dinner at Logan's tonight and I had sweet tea because I felt like my sugar was low. This is the second day in a row this has happened, where I feel faint and almost nauseous in the evening. My mesquite grilled chicken was 4 points, broccoli was free, the side salad with no dressing was 2 points, and I had 1 roll with butter for 7 points. 13 points for my dinner and 4 points for my tea = 17 points total at Logan's tonight. That left me 1 for the day.
